Instant Makeover

We are going to start with this picture of avril lavigne:

i got this picture from PSDelightful

when we are done, it will have more color in the cheeks, eyes, lips, etc.

let's get started!

1)open the image in paintshop pro

SKIN AND CHEEKS

2)in the wizard on the left press "retouch and restore" and then "skin smoothing"

set the amount to about 35 (or whatever looks best without looking fake)

press ok

3)right click on the background layer and click "new raster layer"

4)get the airbrush tool and select a pink color for the cheeks (i used #f775a6)
paint on the cheeks (or wherever you want the skin to be more colorful).

5)set the new raster layer that you just painted on to opacity 10 or 15 (much more would look really fake--depends on skin tone/picture being used)

6)right click on the layer in the right pane.
go Merge>>Merge All(Flatten)

EYES

7)right click layer, new raster layer(see step 3)

8)select a color close to the eye color in picture (or desired color if you want to change it)
airbrush over the eyes on the new layer.

9)change the opacity to something lighter than 25 (i used 17) until the eyes look right.

10)repeat steps 6 & 7

11)airbrush small streaks of white onto the eyes on new layer.

12)change the opacity to 10-20 until it looks good

13)repeat step 10

LIPS

14)choose a color for the lips
airbrush on the lips

change opacity to 20-30

15)right click on the layer in the right pane.
go Merge>>Merge All(Flatten)

you should end up with something like this:

there you have it.

i would LOVE to do this to one of my pictures.. but i dont know how to do it.. do you have to download instant makeover first? cause i cant figure out how to get my picture on it..
