[size=1][font=Arial]basics :icon art is a program in which you can make icons and cursors .. im basically use icon art for making a cursor.

to start to make the icon first off open icon art ...
1) then go file>>new project>>click the cursor tab
then click animated cursor ... type in the number of frames that you want .. (in this tutorial it will go by letters *try not to have alot of letters* but type in the number of frames you wish to use )
* THERE WiLL BE A PiNK BACKGROUND .. DONT WORRY ABOUT THAT .. iT WiLL NOT SHOW IN YOUR CURSOR*
2)then if you want to have a text animated curor you click the "T" on the top navi bar
then choose the font that you want
and type whatever you type will be in your first frame
example : if you type "t" the first letter that will show is the "t"
3) now you need to click on the SECOND FRAME on the top .. then click the "T" on the top for text again ... this time you will type the second letter you want to be shown. then click apply
* THE LETTER THAT YOU PREVIOUSLY TYPED WILL BE SHOWN WHEN YOU CLICK THE "T" TO TYPE THE NEXT LETTER IN THE SECOND FRAME*
4) next click the 3rd frame now your going to do the same thing by clicking the "T" and typeing the next letter that you want to be show then click apply
5) next do that with the rest of the frames that you have ..
7) once your done with all the frames set the interval that you want it to show ...meaning how fast you want it to show .. you can always click the play button too see how your cursor will look.
8) then you will need to go FILE>>SAVE ANI CURSOR>>type in what you wanna call it and click save
now you are done making the cursor
9) next you will need to upload it on a hosting site... i recommend geocities but you can use watever ([url=http://www.geocities.com]geocities.[/url]
10) upload your cursor and get a url for it
11) then place your cursor url in this code[CODEBOX]body, a:hover{cursor: url(PUT URL OF ICON HERE);}>[/CODEBOX]
(if for xanga put this code in website stats)

with the new cb4 the tutorial comes out to big, you might want to edit :smile:
