**NOTE**
I did this tutorial in Photoshop CS3 Extended which is why some of you may have problems. However, that doesn't mean this tutorial won't work in other versions of Photoshop. Just try it out.
Feeling sort of mad, angry, perhaps emo? Want to create a sort of grungy look for your picture? Well I will teach you how to make a grungy border. I will be using the late & beloved Heath Ledger as my subject for this tutorial. May he be resting in peace & watching over us. "/

To making grunge borders!
001.First off, open your desired picture.
002.Switch to Quick Mask Mode (Q).
003.Now take your Rectangular Marquee Tool (M).
004.Make a border on your picture like so.
005.Now go Edit>Fill.
006.We are going to fill our selection with black. This is not going to make your border black, okay?
007.Do a ctrl+d. Now go Filter>Distort>Ocean Ripple & click ok.
008.Your picture should look like mine now. If you want a more grungier border, simply do a ctrl+f until you get your desired look.
009.Now exit out of the Quick Mask Mode by pressing "Q" on your keyboard or clicking on the button you used to get into Quick Mask Mode. Press delete or backspace & you should have your grungy border.
010.If you want a black grungy border simply do a ctrl+z or go back a step to when your border was selected & go Edit>Fill & select black or any other color.
