There's so much I need to say and it's frustrating,
Frustrating that I don't have the power in me to put them down on paper,
Don't have the ability to bring my emotions to life,
Can't even write a blurb for the one person who adored me --
More so than I'll ever be able to understand,
Yet another inability.
There's one person in the world that you simply cannot lose,
Your invincible rock; your inexterminable hero;
The person your heart beats for...
Then they do, and you shake,
Every muscle and fiber in your now-vulnerable existence finds a tremor,
Knowing that the rest of your life will be void of that fortress,
Free of that rampart,
That's the pain.
Sad, ironic, pitiful, repugnant, paltry, lamentable;
The human race's undying weakness,
The human race's unwavering tendencies,
To show selflessness only in the face of tragedy.
I'd give anything just to hear his one breath...
Just to hear him breathe...
