Do NOT use Gaussian blur. First off, you're not even supposed to blur, and secondly, if you must blur, at least use Smart Blur. Gaussian just feathers out all the edges and it looks low quality and all blurry. Smart Blur keeps the edges crisp, yet blends layers together.
