I currently have Adobe Cs2 and Imageready ..
and for some reason imageready update cannnot open videos anymore..

whats another efficient method of making GIF images out of videos frames.

Are you sure that your videos are the right type? If I remember correctly, imageready could only open up certain video types.

i have tried different formats..

try virtualdub

click file>open video
then
export>either image sequence or animated gif

You can use VideoAvatar. It's pretty easy to use.
