My mom was telling me some of these things and i guess apparently pink said that "it was like stepping on a small kitten" and i guess when she walked passed kanye she just shook her head in disgrace.
Also a lot of people who say they don't normally like taylor swift agreed that kanye was being an arrogant prick.

I mean i just cant believe he would do something like that. I mean beyonce won 3 awards! and still her music video was cool and such but i did like taylor swifts a lot better.

yeah but i don't think it's anything directly at taylor swift though. she just happened to be the one who won. had it been anyone else besides beyonce (regardless of their "innocence") he woulda done the same thing because his issue wasn't with taylor swift specifically, it was with beyonce not wining.

but yes taylor swift is very "sweet and innocent" so that plus her being a teenager made it that much worse looking

still either way if it was someone else this happened to taylor. You wouldnt do that to a girl who was that young would you? Not to mention winning her first VMA.

yeah...but the point is that it doesn't matter who won specifically over beyonce, them (any of them) winning over beyonce is his problem. not the specific person, or how innocent they are, ect ect ect isn't what the scenario hinges on.

so that's why i don't think it's surprising that it happened specifically to "sweet innocent" country teen taylor swift

or MTV could have paid kanye a LOT to do that stunt.

Im sort of suspicious of that too although theres now proof that he was getting shit faced at the awards. So the bloke could have been drunk out of his mind when he did that and with the added combo of already being ballsy with his opinions.

This shit is obviously staged. MTV does this all the time. Why doesn't this type of obscure stuff happen on a regular at any other award show. Remember when MTV tricked MJ into thinking he was winning the Millennium of the Year Award. Fast forward to yesterday and they paying tribute like they really care.

Sometimes these types of things happen on award shows. There's been a couple of *gasp* moments on the Academy Awards and pretty much anytime Sean Penn takes the stage, you can bet producers tense up a bit.

Either way, VMA's would have been lackluster, like they typically are without this little incident (which lasted what, 5 seconds or so?).

Yeah I think some people cared. I just remember watching this one show on MTV where they showed the VMA's wildest moments and that Jackson incident was one of them. I wish the tribute would have lasted a bit longer. I think it's sad that the Kanye incident overshadowed some good performances. Especially that Michael Jackson 45 degree lean where the guy didn't get set properly to do the lean so he just bends over.

I agree it would have been just another music show had it not been for some pretty peculiar moments. I'm still trying to figure out where the hell Lil Mama come from. MTV need to step up their security.
