Now I know there are at least four of us who watch this show. Since it's started coming on BBC America though, I know there have to be more fans of the greatest teen drama on TV. If not, you need to get familiar.

Nah, I don't think so. It'll probably premiere in the first months of the new year (Jan - March).

i started marathoning from season 1 with a friend and now i'm all caught up. i do agree that first two seasons were best. effy is so gorgeous, though. i'd keep watching just bc i love her.

American versions of anything usually aren't great. I don't see what would be different about it except that the actors wouldn't have awesome British accents.

Has anyone tried watching the American one?

I'm 7 minutes into it and it's already pretty bad. They're trying to make the first episode identical to the pilot of the UK one, minus the nudity, swearing, and good acting. Ugh. But then I may be annoyed because I started watching it convinced that it would suck...

American Effy is not hot, btw.

Yeah I watched the American one first thinking "gee it's not bad"
...but then I went back and watched the UK version.....its bad ugh!

But idk I think American Effy seems cute

So I finished the first episode. LOL at how they bleep out the f-word. Either not censor it, or not use it at all, geez. The bleeping makes it so much more awkward than it needs to be.

American Maxxie is pretty hot, but I'm so sad that they turn Maxxie into a girl/lesbian.

AND WHY IS AMERICAN CASSIE SO OPENLY EMO?? I want fake optimistic/happy Cassie. Plus Cadie and Stanley don't look as cute together as Cassie and Sidney did.

MTV made it. MTV series that aren't realty based suck. I love the original skins, and I would watch a remake of it from any other network other than MTV. Everything they touch turns into some incredibly shallow and stereotypical garbage.

Given how America is a lot more strict about what content can be broadcast than the UK, I'm not surprised. How can you expect a show that focuses so much on racy topics like sex, drugs, and homosexuality to survive, let alone stay the same, when there's so much censorship?

It was a stupid idea to bring a show like Skins to the States.

i kinda hate the show but i kinda like it.
UK skins will always be the better one cause it's the original one, but US one isn't completely that bad how everyone is dragging it out to be. yeah, most parts are just stupid, but i can definitely say this show is better than hard times of rj berger
