This GREAT for your first layout
I do think the text is a little too monotonous, or maybe it's the fact that the layout doesn't have a different style when trasitioning to sections.

Also, I'd do a texture or pattern for the background instead of a text... but that's just my personal prefernce.

it's pretty nice I would def. add more if i were you
