I have read through the entire forum, scrip and FAQ. I even read through the request a skin part...but I had no idea what that meant. I have searched google for 2 days to find this code. I cannot find it. Please tell me if you know how to hide the entire myspace "Lifestyle and background" table. Or delete it. I just don't want it showing on my page at all.

Please forgive me if I broke any rules or missed something really really obvious. Tell me I am an idiot if I did, but please still give me the code.

I can't believe how helpful this place is. I haven't seen so much information in one area before.
Thanks so much.

//and since I am here: I altered my layout and I like it except when you move the mouse from one side to the other the page gives a little "jump" or a "jiggle". I don't want it to do that but I am unsure where to change it in the code. Thanks. If you need to see my page to know what I am talking about: http://myspace.com/mavitygirl10

??
when i move my mouse on your page it doesnt do anything so im sorry i cant sort that out for you.
mavitygirl
It seems to happen only when scrolling over myu friends' pictures. It happens in the "xxx has som many friends" and "comments" sections when I scroll up/down or side-to-side and I go over the pictures.. Would you check it out again?
Thanks

Thanks for the hide code link. I just did it and it's gone! Thanks for not calling me an idiot, but I see I could have looked harder and found it on this site myself. :)

The mouse thing doesn't happen for me either. Do you use IE?
mavitygirl
I use MSN Explorer. I don't know if that is the same as IE or not.

If I move the mouse REALLY SLOW it doesn't happen, but when I use it normal or quickly it does. It doesn't happen anywhere else except where I said, and not on anyone else's profile I visit.

It is like the striped background comes forward then back then forward then back...but only when I scroll up/down side-to-side in those areas.

I thought after these two replies maybe it was my computer...but like I said, it doesn't happen anywhere else. It also happens when I am logged in or not logged in. However I view my profile it happens.

Driving me crazy...

Thats weird because I don't get it at all. Go here its my test myspace. If you get the same problem , its your layout recode it. If you don't its probably all those graphics you have.
mavitygirl
thanks toyo loco

I just don't know what I did. I see it isn't happening on that test. Argh! I like all the stupid little graphics so I'll just redo the layout. That's probably what got me into trouble...all the codes say "don't change" but I always do anyway.

I see many items about editing in safe mode, but when I click that it takes me to a page that says I don't have a groups to moderate? Do you recommend I edit in safe mode? Would you tell me how? Or is it not that important?
freeflow
Editing in safe mode is old news. The new myspace profile editor is fine to edit because well you never loose a submit button. So really just go ahead with the regular myspace profile editor. Safe mode really isn't needed anymore. It was needed before because loosing submit buttons was common(or edit buttons). Back with the old editor. Now the regular one is fine.

Okey dokey. Thanks for all your help. I appreciate it. This is a great resource site. Is it possible to add a link to it from myspace? Or is it just a kind of "if you find it good for you" operation?
