Dihydrogen monoxide is a chemical substance that we are exposed to every single day, and it can be very deadly.

Hmm...I've never heard of it.

Do your part to support the cause! Start a rally! Pass out petitions!

We must do anything we can to help suppress this evil substance that is infiltrating our country. The rest of the world has been contaminated already - there are many large concentrated areas of dihydrogen monoxide around the world. EVEN IN THE UNITED STATES, there are large quantities just lying around. Most people aren't even aware they've been exposed.

Be afraid.
REBELnDISGUISE
i dont get it...

Oh gods, I'm showing this to my friends, and they go onto this tangent about how it's obvious because everything with monoxide is dangerous, and then I tell them it's water and laugh my ass off. This made my day...
waccoon
You guys suck.
Simba
Oh yeah that's where I heard about it.

-looks at water bottle, looks at site, looks at topic-
It's only dangerous if you poison it... Or add in an Alkali/Alkaline-Earth metal... Then you might burn yourself. Maybe not. Potassium burns a pink-ish colour...

A tiny amount of water injected in your veins will kill you, so will drinking too much. And drowning? ;/

It's a really old chem joke.
salcha
Haha yeah, my Chem teacher pulled this on us earlier this year.

Yeah, I put it on my xanga, and one of my friends said the only reason she knew it wasn't serious because I'm apparently just about never serious on my xanga (I guess? not to sure of the reasoning)
