So I'm not much of a web designer. My website www.CertifiedMusic.com got infected probably a year ago.

Does anyone know how to clean it up and prevent it from happening again?

Thank you so much....

are you able to get into your hosting site? If you are you should try deleting everything, files and folders and start over again. You could also contact your hosting site to report the problem and see if they can pinpoint the problem.

it can also depend on the hosting site, make sure you have a reputable hosting site and nothing shady. But protecting it could be as simple as changing your password every few months. you should have back up all files and never update on the site itself. having everything saved to hard drive or disk so if you do have to delete everything again then you can easily place everything back up.

i know it isn't much but I hope it can help

I host with 1and1.com
I've tried deleting everything and putting it back, but it keeps getting infected.

how long did you leave the site blank for? I know my hosting site takes a while to update, sometimes a day at the most for any changes to be done. After deleting everything, try leaving it alone for a while and try to access the site again and see if the virus is there. It might be embedding itself pretty deep. If all else fails, contact your hosting site and see if they can do a manual clean out of everything, and make sure to change your password. Almost any hacker now days can break into a site. Not much I know of to prevent it from happening again.

I think it's a scam. They "say" they found infected files, I scanned my site myself, nothing, nada. So, they had to "verify" the site, and have me purchase their Norton website internet security for $10 every quarter... Then the infected files never seemed to pop up again.

But if it is legitimate, read here:
