I geeked so hard over this movie. No one seems to share my enthusiasm.

Haha, I have geeky friends who share your sentiment. I haven't seen it yet, though.

Haven't seen it yet but I think I'll only ever enjoy seeing Michael Cera when he starred in Arrested Development.

I didn't read the comic book before hand and don't like most of Cera's work, but I really like this movie, just got back from seeing it. The story has heart, it's got lots of geek references and it's really funny, I was laughing so much.

I really enjoyed this film. I thought the writing was great, and it was just really refreshing to see something so different (in terms of graphics, concept, etc.).

There were a few parts that made me almost fall asleep, though (like when Scott had to defeat the twins). And they didn't do such a great job of explaining why things were happening... and the whole thing with Envy Adams just seemed totally unnecessary.

I want to read the graphic novel now to fully understand the story, haha.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I haven't exactly been jumping out of my skin to either, mostly because of the reasons stated above.

And thank you. I can't stomach Michael Cera. At all.

You should give it a shot. It's actually a pretty good movie. I know there's a lot of Michael Cera hate, but despite the fact that he perpetually plays the same stock character, he at least chooses good scripts. (Don't confuse him with Adam Sandler, who also played the same character for most of the 90s but committed the crime of playing the same character in terrible movies.) I enjoyed watching Scott Pilgrim and actually laughed pretty hard.

Yeah I didn't really like Michael Cera b/c he always seemed to play the 'bitch' character and he was always whiney seeming but in that movie and I think one other recent movie I liked him in those so kudos to him I guess?
