about older guys dating young girls. LETS SAY a 19 year old dating a 30 year old. Or something along those lines.
Does looove have no age? and it's legal so it's ok? or is the guy still a f*cking creep who need to go after girls not 10 years younger then him? |

It all depends. If the girl is mature and the guy is genuinely interested in her for a reason that isn't primarily sex, then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. If the guy is preying on younger women who are blinded by his attention and job/money, then they should both reconsider dating each other in favor of dating people who might be better for them.
I myself wouldn't date anyone more than three years older than me right now, since college and the working world are completely different. I'll see if that age ceiling changes when I graduate. |

I know a girl whose 18 and she's dating a 40 year old. I even saw them because I commented on how sweet that she's going to prom dinner with her dad until someone corrected me.

People who are over 21 couldn't go to our prom, because "they could buy alcohol". But 21 was the f*cking cut off line so it made no f*cking sense.

^what age do you draw the line? Down to watch a 40 year old f*ck a 19 year old?
How does that relate to your OP? Eh, I bet some seniors turned up buzzed/drunk anyway; the 21+ rule is useless at dances like prom. It related to Tomates post. and it wasn't even 21+ not allowed. You could come if you were 21, just no older. |

burr~ that 40 year old dating the 18 looks like a creeper
I think it depends on maturity imo and if they really like the person, not the whole getting some ass part |

depends on the ages. if it's like a 55 year old and a 40 year old that's different to me because they have similar lives probably (out of school, working, etc). 30 and 19? eh i swear we've talked about this in like 8392 topics here already but i still think a 30 year old man should not be interested in anyone in their teens. i just don't get what a grown man would even have in common with someone like this. imo they need to grow up and realize their own age.
so i guess it's all about lifestyle for me. when i'm 30 i don't want to be helping my girlfriend with her freshman homework ya know? i'd want someone on my own level and in the same place in their life. |

if there are both legal age to date then it doesn't matter to me. whatever happens is their journey. i seen the MTV's True Life on an episode of dating someone older and both of the people being filmed didn't have any success whatsoever. One of them didn't appreciate liking her older husband's work hours because it had less time for them to be a couple. Can't blame her since she's only 20 something and he's like 50 and she would be the more energetic one but the guy gotta pay for the bills because that chick was kind of a spender, haha. The other person being filmed was that young guy dating this mature lady and they basically lost interest as time went by. Plus he said that he has less time seeing people "his age".

desperate much? i'm sorry but i completely am against the whole dating an older guy--especially when the girl is straight out of high school... screw that shit line 'age ain't nothing but a number'--its sad and pathetic enough that a dude can't find a girl his own age to screw but has to go low enough to hurt a girl's heart , that he knows damn well she gonna fall for him.... ugh it disgusts me....i've had a handful of girlfriend who have fallen for older men and it always ended terrible.

I'd like to say otherwise, but tbh if I saw a 19-year-old with a 30-year-old, I'd definitely think, "wtf, that's gross." I wouldn't even consider the fact that the girl might be mature. It just looks f*cked up to me.
Like others have said though, it's different when we're talking about older people. In terms of teenagers, the numbers just look completely off. If you look at people in their 30s+, it looks a bit more normal. Y'know? That being said, my parents are 12 years apart. |

yeah once its like a 26-30 year old and a 40(possibly older) dating, it's not as weird
Just the overall concept of a teen dating an older man looks a lot more awkward to comprehend |

idk, i dont really see early 30's as a "definitely not" and i'm 21. like i wouldn't go looking for 30 year olds, but if it happens, it happens. one of my friends is dating a 31 year old and she's 21 too. i met him and he's actually sort of cool. they just... get along really well.
i think a lot of it is maturity and experience. but at some age you sort of level off a bit, no? it just all depends on how good your chemistry is and your understanding of one another, i think. |
