My god, looking at the specs of your machines just makes me think, "What's the point". Next year I'll be able to buy a card as powerful than the 295 for 1/4th the price. Why spend so much money on a computer. There isn't a single game on the market that requires those kind of specifications... meh, whatever floats your boat.

I'm pretty sick of working on 10 year old computers and trying to make them fast/usable. But I'm not gonna waste my money, cause I'm a jew. Hopefully after christmas I'll have enough money to build something cheap, 2.8ghz dual core, 2/4gb ddr 800 ram, a compatible mobo and I have no clue about anything when it comes to video cards. I'll just do some research. Figured that should be able to play crysis. I have a case, optical drive, hard drive, mouse, keyboard, right now, but they are all reallly sucky, but it can work for a little while.
Who am I kidding, I'm a jew, I hate spending money. I had 2k in the bank till I blew a bunch on this mac, which I am still having buyers remorse over. |

Also, I'm almost willing to bet that it's a Radeon 9200. It's alright for most things, but pretty shit these days. |

When you update drivers, does it commit it to the hardware, or will I have to do it again, if I reformat or something? I'm sure I already know the answer but I just figured I'd ask. Last time I tried installing the drivers, I failed. |

No it's handled by the kernel. which links directly with the hardware.
