i did what you said but when i went to the control panel and looked under fonts, i didn't see the ones i downloaded. i even ran a search and couldn't find it. wait...when i downlaoded the font i pressed open. was i supposed to press save? aw crap.
edit: ok i saved them in my documents and tried to drag them into fonts but for all 3 it said it couldn't download and that the file was invalid or damaged... |

Oh no, the fonts don't automatically go there. Usually fonts are downloaded into a zip file on your desktop, you need to unzip the zip, then put the files in the zip, usually the .ttf file or whatever and stick that file in the fonts folder on the cp.
(yes press save) |

If the font is already a true type or post script font (look at the file extension) then you can simply drag the file into C:\Windows\Fonts. The font will automatically install.
If it's in a zip file, unzip it using a program like WinZip or double-clicking the file (Windows XP should have an automatic unzipping system). After unzipping, drag the folder into the Fonts folder or if there is a wizard, choose the Fonts folder and the font will be extracted and installed. |
