Have any of yall got students from new orleans??? we got a few and i met this guy and he is so awsome were really good friends now. he came over to my house today i met his mom and everything, and we went swimming at my other guy friends house and walked around west u in our bathing suits cause it was so hot. from the hurricane. i live in h-town. he said he's gonna call my cell phone during Rita cause i'm gonna be scared in my little closet.
theres another guy from new orleans at my school and he's really quiet and he's really shy and all, but i'm happy that he made alot of friends at my school cause its hard for shy ppl to make friends. i got the best group of ppl at my school. we dont have clicks or popular groups were all pretty much friends. (xept for the extreamly dorky ppl cause they dont like everyone else) so i guess there is one click. the dork click, but there mean. anyways....yeah i'm happy for him.
theres another girl from new orleans and shes really smart and she speaks spanish and i wish she would do my spanish homework but...no... but shes like really siriouse and she never knows when i'm being sarcastic and i'm always being sarcastic so shes always like "YOU DID WHAT???" and i'm like 'ummm jk'
theres another girl from new orleans and shes like REALLY REALLY skinny and about 4 foot nothin. shes so cute lol. she was really shy at first, but we always saved her a seat at lunch so she made alot of friends.
yep thats pretty much it we only have four students.
my friend is going out with one of the new orleans kids that doesn't go to our school and he has a twin and we saw there football game. wow i didn't know i would make friends so fast with them.

have u guys met any new orleans kids???

The last time they said anything, we'd had over 40. Its probably grown, now.

We had a welcome breakfast for them. I didn't get to attend because I'm not leadership.

But as I've mentioned in multiple other threads, my friend and her siblings are going to school here. Schools in Mississippi are reopening soon, but they may stay here sine its her bother's senior year and she made ASYO, which she can''t very wel quit (well, she could but she wouldn't want to). they put her in marching band too. Even though they want the family to be together, she could really just stay here since she's homeschooled in Mississippi and schools won't effect her (though it will her siblings who didn't refuse to attend)

We got a whole lot of students at our school, but only 2 of them are in my World History class. One of them already went back to Baton Rouge, but the other is still here. She's nice _smile.gif

There are only two students from New Orleans that I know of at my school, but I am sure that there are more. Its kind of hard to tell though since my school has like 4,000 students. But I think it would be nice to get to know someone who's not just from California at school. I read that at that at California State Universities they are allowing transfers for those who were going to school in New Orleans but cant anymore.

Nope, none at all. I live in Massachusetts. I know there there's like camp edwards or something in Cape Cod and a lot of people are like staying there, but the wouldn't go to my school. I live in a little town in Massachusetts, no one would want to come here.

Not that I know of but my lil brother told me that some kids from the Katrina thing came to his school. I'm kinda worried for them too because I heard there might be a Hurricane Rita and that it might hit Texas and it look like it might move upward to here. ermm.gif

no, there aren't any new orleans kids at my high school in new jersey. idk if the people in my school would really accept them ( a lot of people in my school are assholes ). but i know i'd welcome them with open arms and try to make friends with them so that they don't feel lonely and uncomfortable.

We have 8 at our school. Oddly enough, they're all freshmen. I haven't met any of them, though.
