A bit late to start this, but the French Open has been pretty exciting so far. Which players do you love/hate?
I'm pulling for my favorite player, Gael Monfils, to win it all. I think he will upset Federer. |

QUOTE I don’t really care about numbers. It’s either a ‘W’ or an ‘L,”’ Sharapova said, “and I prefer ‘W.’ I never get to watch the French Open cause I'm always still in school. D: I haven't even watched tennis on TV since the Olympics, LOL. |

Sharapova got owned and that is sad but she did good at least. Fed has no easy way to this crown with del potro and gael still in it.

Serena Williams is the Kanye West of women's tennis. Inconsistent, brash and arrogant to the point where you start to hate her, but you can't deny the tremendous amount of success she's had.
I'm surprised Soderling beat Davydenko. I thought him beating Nadal was a fluke, but maybe he is the real deal. |

I think he pushed a few players in one of the slams between wimbledon last year and the french. I know he had one deep run where he took somebody out.

I didn't see the Davydenko match, but I feel that Soderling used the same strategy against Nadal that Federer used in Madrid. He took a lot of high risk shots that ended up paying off against Nadal, instead of trying to grind it out with him. I don't mean to say that he's been getting lucky, but I'm not yet ready to say that he's the real deal yet.

Dang, Serena just lost. Serena vs Safina would have been a women's match that I actually would want to watch.

now safina is going to win the title. It really won't mean much though until she goes through a battle tested player in the final.

lol, I haven't been able to take women's tennis since Henin retired.
Monfils just lost, seems like he lost all his steam after losing the tiebreaker in the first set. |

Yeah, this tourney is Federer's to win. He's beaten JMDP on clay this year, and for the finals, maybe Gonzo could pull the upset, but Fed's looking really confident now.

grats fed on career grand slam and 14 slams. now retire so everyone else can have a shot ;) Nice to see Andre Agassi show up too.
also, lol @ the dude that ran onto the court waving a Barca flag at Federer @Teesa: It wasn't too early on the East coast, around 9 AM I think. Women's tennis is awful because all of the women players are terrible. They're all head cases that cave in under pressure. Look how many #1's there have been in women's tennis recently. And don't even try to say it's because the field is more competitive. They're not all equally good, they're all equally bad. Kuznetsova didn't win that match, Safina lost it. Maybe I'd be less annoyed if ESPN didn't decide to air Serena vs Kuznetsova over Monfils vs Federer. But between the two, there is no comparison between watching men's tennis and women's tennis. |

YEEEEESSS :)
wtf, that random guy trying to put a hat on federer? security! i understand what you mean-like when they cave in under pressure-that is so true. i prefer men's tennis too. espn loves the williams sisters. i remember when i wanted to watch a match in the earlier rounds, but they were showing them playing doubles. SO boring. |

if nadal's out of wimbledon, that's another title for federer Actually, I'm pulling for Murray at Wimby. I'm sick of the British commentators overhyping him, so if winning will get them off his dick, then so be it. I hope Federer doesn't break Sampras' record until he's close to retiring. Having 20 GS titles would be pretty unbreakable. |

^good call...federer has had problems with murray. but overall, i think federer is a more composed player. but that would be a great matchup to watch at wimbledon.
yeah, but then when we're old and no one else is good enough to beat his record, we can be like haha we were witnesses to that greatness lol don't underestimate ... ANDY RODDICK.. oh wait...he's never winning a major ever again HAHAHAHHAAH. federer has 15 in the books. hey now but i really think he's getting better! |

^LOL. aw, unfortunately love literally means nothing in tennis
haha. but of course i will let you know, jc! you'll pick up tennis quick and i know you'll like it i don't really pay attention to the matches in between the major ones-i guess i just check the results here and there but that's about it-but wimbledon starts june 22nd and it should be really great. |
