Alright, so my friend is really wanting to buy a DSLR camera. She doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I think she is looking for something to be under $400. She was looking at the Nikon D5000, however she saw the whole electrical mishap and didnt want to deal with that since she had to go through that twice with her original point and shoot camera.
I told her to look at the D40 but it "isnt as good as what she wants".
So whats a good DSLR camera for her that is under $400.

She is one of those "its too expensive" people even if something is $30.

D40. There aren't any good ones under 400, and D40 is the best under 500.

I told her too that the D40 is a good camera. However she doesn't like how its a 6 megapixel camera.

I was looking at the other forum too. However i just kinda want to see what else would be good for her camera wise. Something possibly besides a nikon.
