I see no correlation.

I use 3.6a. It's a lot faster than 3.5, but it also crashes a lot more.

They are also using Comcast, which is a shared internet connection. So speed tests are not really dependent on the browser, it also could be the cable network at the give time of testing. I have seen cable networks go from 24 MBPs a second to 2 or 3 MBPs a second in less than 3-4 minutes.

Do you live in a highly populated area?

fyi inaccurate. They may render data slower, but they don't receive data slower. I see maybe ping being a little higher for some browsers, but there is no way that actual data in/out rates can be different just because it's a different browser. Something else was causing the fluctuating data rates.

the 216 ping scored higher in the upload than the 124 ping.

Not interested in beta right now. Since I updated to 3-3.5 my browser has been crashing a ton.

Because ping has nothing to do with upload speed.

Ping measures the round-trip time it takes to get from point A (your computer) to point B (the server or website you are trying to get to).

That was SO difficult.
