hmm, well it really depends. in a lot of school, jr high is 6-8 and high school is 9-12.

elementary school is from kindergarten to grade 7
secondary (high) school is from grade 8 to grade 12

toronto has a grade 13, that's gotta suck. having to put up with the leafs AND going through an extra grade. ahha.

they are changing because they built another high school. from 7-9 and 10-12 to 6-8 and 9-12

but it will still be junior high until we 8th graders leave.

there's no Jr. High where I live

It's elementary school from K to grade 7 and then it's highschool from grade 8 to grade 12.

BC changed it so there isn't Jr. High for some reason, I think it's stupid cause all the older highschool kids hate the grade 8 kids and all the older elementary kids bully the grade ones. It's stupid. I want Jr. High back

Where I live there is no jr.high. There's elementary school: pre-k - 8th grade. Then highschool 9th-12th
Where I go to school it's jr.high 6th-9th (I was one scared ass little 6th grader...) and high school 10th-12th

I got to a Catholic private schoool, and it's 6-8 (jr. high) & 9-12 (highschool).


For the public schools around here.. it's 7-9 (jr. high) and 10-12 (highschool).

ours is REALLY weird.

since we have too many people, we had to split high schools into two divisions of high school.

middle school - 6th to 8th
high school - 9th and 10th
SENIOR high school (completely different place) - 11th and 12th.

our school is changing this year...it goes like this

5th and 6th grade
middle school-7th through 8th
9th grade
high school-10th through 12th grade

1 - 4 Elmentary
