i am SO angry that i had to watch roddick win on the wimbledon slamtracker online. why the hell would they not show that match when it was on center court?? i'm sooo happy he won, but WTF. seriously.
i liked hearing about the two major upsets in women's tennis. |

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I remember that Haas lucked out hardcore, he would have been f*cked if not for the suspension of play. Congrats to him though, I actually like his style of play, it's just a shame that he's such a headcase. It boggles the mind how ESPN prioritizes which match to show. Oh well, at least I can watch Murray against Troicki. [edit]Oh snap, I just noticed Troicki uses an Ozone Tour. |

I'm not betting on any upsets in the quarters. Roddick's been owning Hewitt in their past several matches, so I still think Roddick will win, even if it might take more than 3 sets. Karlovic has been serving like a beast, but Federer is too good for that to matter. Murray has Ferrero, but this is on grass and not clay, so I doubt he'll give Murray much trouble. Haas vs Djokovic might be interesting, two head cases.

Well, I think there will be tiebreakers and Karlovic may take a set or two, but I just don't think Dr. Ivo can serve perfectly for three sets, let alone 5 if it gets that far. Federer can also do more to his second serve than the guys that Karlovic has played with so far, and I don't think he has the return game to break back if Federer can break him due to his size.
But we'll see, maybe Fed will have an off day and Karlovic will serve the match of his life. |

Not to take anything from Haas, since he was playing great (it's always good to see someone doing serve and volley these days), but Djokovic was pathetic. I don't think he has a real shot at being #1. Hopefully Haas vs. Federer will be like their French Open match.

Haas had match point on Federer in the French Open, and I feel like he's playing stronger as of late. If anything, serve and volley will work better on grass than it did on clay. It all depends on which Tommy Haas shows up on court. If I had to pick one men's match to watch, it would be Haas vs Fed. Murray vs Roddick is just gonna be Murray toying with Roddick. Roddick will continually overuse his slice backhand, then once his serve breaks down, he's going to get frustrated and overhit. On the women's side, I'm rooting for Venus. I detest Serena. |
