Since it doesn't seem to be taking off in moderator performance, and the only one got closed, we shall discuss here (even though it's less fun being official)

i liked the hobbit then.

boxcar children was certainly a favorite, along with animorphs.

furtherback, i remember some henrietta the hen books, some bernstein bears books, tonka books.

doctor seuss, was of course a staple.

and then in the later years there was harry potter and the 'so you want to be a wizard' series.

I didn't mind the Hobbit in 4th grade, but I hated it when I had to read it in 7th. Honestly, how long do we need to spend walking through a forest? I never made it past the prolouge of the Fellowship

I loved Boxcar in 2nd grade. We had a huge classroom collection. I read most of Animorphs, then moved onto Everwold by the same author

I was never that fond of the Bernenstein bears. Never read the other 2, I don't think.

Ah, how does one live without Dr. Suess?

I started Harry Potter in 4th or 5th grade after James intorduced me, which was before they got popular. They got my introuble for reading during class most often, though I did all the time anyway. I only read the first of the So You Want to be a Wizards. I wasn't that fond of it. I own them though.

The first 2 His Dark Materials were good. They take a while to get into, so I never got into the last one enough to finish at all

Ohhh, yeah, I loved the Babysitters club too! Never cared for goosebumps. Wasn't scared, just thought they were lame. I read some Sweet Valley High, but not a whole lot. I like one of the random side series best

Oh yeah, I enjoyed reading Fear Street as well.

My brother read Boxcar, I think I tried to read one book and lost interest in that. I also never got into the whole Animorphs series even though did catch the show a couple of times on Nick.

Fav elemetary school books include The Boxcar Children, Dr Suess, Harry Potter, The Series of Unfrotunate Events, The Babysitters Club, the books about a babysitters club member little sister Karen.

I read Amelia Bedilia sometimes and wondered why she was so effin stupid.

The cover of the Goosbumps books kept me away.

Its was from the same author of Goosebumps but targeted towards teenagers and young adults. They were scary.

But to remain on the topic of books..

I read Little House on the prarie for some weird reason.

I remember my teacher telling me it's a Texan Classic..

and come to find out they dont even go through texas.

My reading level was always insanley broad and high (in 8th grade I went from 5.3 to college level) so I could really read whatever I wanted and no one gave a damn. After first grade, I rarely ever read a book in my grade level

I liked Little House too. And Dear Americas. Motsly anything historical fiction, and fantasy so long as it wasn't too lame
