With all the laws and stuff on no matter where (so it seems in the U.S) is there even a point in buying a fast car? It's not like you'll ever go over 100 MPH and not get pulled over buy the popos.

LA to Vegas on the 15 is a great drive.
LA to Phoenix on the 10 is fast as hell too.

It's worth it to have a fast car if you can run either of those roads.

If you can't and live in a nice climate, get a convertible, removable hard top or t-top vehicle. Any of those are great for cruising.

Racing, whether it be on the streets or on a track, is always fun. It explains the need for speed in the U.S. (Hahaha, nfs)

one word:

acceleration.

there are also legal races that you can set up if you are part of an auto club at local racetracks.

don't street race kids. take it to the tracks. plent of tracks in the US that's pretty cheap for runs... don't put others in danger just cause you feel like speeding.

... of course, if no one's on the street... and you're not afraid of tickets... LET IT LOOSE!

exactly. having a fast car doesn't mean you have to drive fast to enjoy it...it's a whole different feel inside..the torque and such.

definitely happy.gif

we always hit 100 on that one. in the middle of the desert. theres like---never any cops there.

besides, if you're in kansas or some other place, the highways can go pretty fast since there's NOBODY around pinch.gif

A lot of people buy them for the sheer pleasure in knowing that if they wanted to go fast, regardless of the speed limits, cops, etc, that they can. People want the option I guess.

And a lot of the faster cars are very nice looking, so maybe they want some attention because they have a nice ride, who knows?

I don't think there's a point, though.

Yeah. Just do illegal street racing like everyone else said. There are some streets in northern US that do not have speed limits on a long street.

2. to attend racing schools
3. to at least know you're driving a fast car =]
4. track days (like SCCA or NASA)
5. drag strip
6. going more effortlessly on the highway
7. smoking an arrogant driver when no cops are around
