I posted an ad on craiglist wanting to trade my D7000 and some cash for a D700.

From An

No fool is going to trade his or her D700 for a everyday camera, D7000.

I think you are beginner and read everything wrong about photography.

The Nikon D700 was made for advanced photographers, not really a pro camera. But many pros use it because they don't have the money for D3 Series and it's light.

Just keep the camera.
Save up some money and get some good lenses.
A good flash will hit you $1,000.00.
Your camera has much more mega pixels than the D7000.
Once you parked those good lenses on, your images are much better than D700.

Then take some photo classes.

Have one free this Saturday, if we can get 30 or more that are interested.

From Michel to An

Some people are in need to downgrade for financial reasons. I've seen it happen before. D7000 offers the best quality in dx format for those that realized D700 broke their bank.

I wanted to trade up because I'm not happy with the crop factor. I also need better ISO. I'd rather have a large sensor with 12mp than a small sensor with 16mp. As I'm sure you know, FX pixels are larger and take in a lot more light. No sense in cramming 16 mp into a tiny sensor. That just allows unnecessary noise.

Yes, I do believe I am a beginner. I've only been shooting for 3 years. I wouldn't mind taking your class, but if your lecture is anything like the tone of your email, I'd rather pass.

Just wanted to share.
