well, now i am.
well, actually this sounds interesting
Ugh, Dan Brown. I can't stand to read Dan Brown's books, because his writing, from a style standpoint, is just terrible. It sounds bad and it's full of clichés and I can't stand it. And from a technical standpoint (disclaimer: I have a degree in computer science), Digital Fortress was horrid.
Digital Fortress was the worst of the four books by a long shot. i like the pace of the books though. i like wanting to know what's gonna happen next.
ANYWAYS, I don't like to read..........
but my mother does! And she likes to read Dan Brown, so I will definitely tell her about this one.
I hope they make more movies. I liked them so far (davinci + angels and demons)
They're fantastic. LOVED the twist at the end of a+d. fantastic. bravo.
i'm excited! i first found out when i went to borders to buy a new A&D's book, because I forgot it in the airplane :(!!, and an employee there told me about it. if you guys reserve the book at borders, you get 40% off btw.. you have to be there on sept 15 though, a day more or less.
hey you fans... the lost symbol is out today! just wanted to let you guys know! :)
I present to you...the http://www.slate.com/id/2228327/. Enjoy. You'll thank me later.
i bought this today, looking forward to reading it this weekend.
i'm on chapter 63 right now. i find myself staying up late to read this book, even after i already get home late from night classes. i usually fall asleep while reading and end up dreaming about the weirdest stuff ;o
i've hardly read any :( i've had so much other work and reading for school that by the time i'm done with that i don't even want to read anything. i just want to not read or go to sleep. i'm hoping to read a lot this weekend.
i finished this last night. there's so much i wanna bring up & talk about, but i want to wait until more people have finished reading.
I just saw the ratings this got on Amazon
Granted, I really loved Dan Brown books -- when I was in sixth grade. I saw someone looking through the Da Vinci Code at my local bookstore, going "This is the book! All excitedly." So I went through it a bit, and I liked it.
But it wasn't until about 6 years later when I realize how much I actually detest his writing. I am much more appreciative of a writer's writing and a writer's ideas now than I am of a writer's story. Brown has good pace, he has good plot, but not so great ideas, not so great style.
