QUOTE
US actress and model Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 90 days in prison for violating her probation in a 2007 drug case.

A judge in California said Lohan, aged 24, had failed to attend court-ordered alcohol education classes.

..

In May, an alcohol-monitoring bracelet was fitted after Lohan failed to attend a probation hearing because she claimed to be stranded in France.

Her lawyers said she was unable to fly back from the Cannes Film Festival after her passport was stolen.

sob sob.

saw this earlier, enjoyed it thoroughly.

lol her reasoning was f*cking bogus. It was almost like she literally thought since she was famous she could violate her probation.

Wow, I haven't heard from her in a while. Damn, 90 days? Poor Lindsay. I loved her in The Parent Trap remake ;/

idk but she was pretty good at acting during the jurisdiction. i mean srsly, only 90 days? it's way better compared to YEARS.

i'd believe it's real. come on, if you had to go to jail for 90 days how would you feel? that's 3 freaking months.

what a cutie she was

Posted by: karmakiller Jul 8 2010, 07:45 PM

Well, at least she doesn't have to worry about leaving behind a successful career while she's in jail.

Posted by: spambot Jul 8 2010, 07:52 PM

lol!

mmm. maybe i would feel more sympathetic if it were 3 years, like the rest of us average people are.
i wouldn't have sympathy for someone calling their judge a f*cking bitch. LOL! she's just digging her grave.
idk, maybe her time will help cool off and think about it.

I hope she'll serve the full sentence, and do her best to clean up her act while she's there. I miss the old, Parent Trap and Mean Girls Lindsay so much. :(

I think he meant maybe if she were sentenced for 3 years, like the rest of us would have been.

This is a different situation though. This isn't an initial sentencing, this is a violation of probation. What usually happens when people violate probation is they're sentenced to the maximum allowed sentence for the sentence they got probation for. For instance if you could have received 3-10 years in jail for whatever drug / partying / drunk charge and she got probation, violation of that could have earned her 10 years.

Posted by: spambot Jul 11 2010, 12:49 AM

Reports are saying that it's likely she'll be in jail for 23 days. Similar to Paris Hilton's early release, the jails are overcrowded and women with nonviolent crimes are let go sooner. Speculation, but it's still very likely.

Also, her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley left her. Some are saying it's because Lohan is so difficult to deal with (i.e. keeping "F*ck you" written on her nail in the court). Lohan's now trying to appeal her case. Prolonging the inevitable...

(Heh, I write for a celebrity news site)
