OMFG I FINALLY LEARNED HOW TO MAKE A CROSS ON THE DARN THING.

yahoo.gif

No really. Day of celebration right there because for days I could not figure out the thing. As in, sudden urges to throw it across the room. Then my cousin solves it in four minutes ( mellow.gif ) and I'm forced to realize that it is indeed possible to solve it. And after a week of constant "YES I GOT THREE IN A ROW" being my biggest celebration, that's a damn good "Aha!" moment.

Oh gosh, I'm so awful at those! I've never completed one and probably never will. Patience is key in that type of thing, and I don't have very much of it. pinch.gif

Haha have any of you seen Pursuit of Happyness? I heard Will Smith needed a coach to get the Rubix Cube done properly.
LOL. Actually, the reason I got into the Rubik's cube again is because of that movie. And shoot, if it meant I could solve the thing, I'd hire a coach too.

He did, Tyson Mao was hired to make a easy 8 step program for him to learn which is on youtube in which it took me 2 days to fully learn. Its called, Cube Secrets, I believe.

One time when I was little I was able to actually do a rubik's cube. I thought it was some big deal, although it wasn't. It just made me come to realization that I wasted a lot of time and got frustrated and experienced a lot of emotion for one little square made of plastic.

I used to always just take the stickers off and rearrange shrug.gif

Haha, all but one time. One time I actually solved it by myself. I used to always just rearrange the stickers and show my brother and he'd be like "Damnit! Why can't I get mine like that!"

Haha, one clue or tip that I learned from that movie was that the color of the cube that is in the center on each side of the rubik's cube is the color of the rest of the cubes that go on that side. . .which, is quite pointless to me now. . . since that's probably one of the most obvious things. . .hm. ermm.gif

Don't feel bad. That center thing was such an epiphany for me, but when I told my friends they were all like "Aw, Kaycee, it's so funny how you just noticed the most obvious thing." zipped.gif

Rubik's has rampaged the school. There is not one class I have where there is not at least one Rubik's present in the room.

It all started when Humanities had the "essence of you" project which is basically like getting to know people... and this one kid named Ryan listed being able to solve a Rubik's in less than twenty seconds as one of his interesting facts about himself.

Soon after... Rubik's Cubes EVERYWHERE.
Nearly everyone can solve them here now - lots of them can do it in a couple minutes. And there's a kid who can do it behind his back. We also have a couple kids who can solve 2x2s, 4x4s, and 5x5s...

Rubik's cubes are fun. I beat one once, but it took me quite awhile.

I HATE RUBIK'S CUBES!
Well, only because I've always spent an incredible amount of time with barely any progress trying to solve it. But still.

I can do it in about 50 seconds now. I learned how from watching videos on youtube lol. Once you learn how to do it it's really pretty simple. But I think that you have to be taught cuz its pretty much impossible to figure out how to do it by yourself. It's kinda funny/ironic that I now can do the rubik's cube but I still can never blow a bubble gum.
