I have, one time in 5th grade, and like two times a few months ago, the first time was over a guy stubborn.gif oh how dumb of me, and the others were because my friends wouldnt stop doing it, so when they saw that I did it, they decided to stop happy.gif but now I dont do that, instead I use a ruberband, if I have something stressful on my hands, then yeah pull the rubberband, at least it doesnt draw blood, but someone said its bad for your veins... hMmm

QUOTE(Luster Soldier @ May 10 2004, 11:35 PM)
No....I don't see that there is a point of cutting yourself.

You may not see it but others do... It's tough when the thought of dying or killing yourself runs through your mind at least three times a day... and it's tough when you lose a loved one or when you're depressed... Some people aren't very strong... so they resort to hopelessness and cutting.

Agreed.

Some people, who aren't that emotionaly stable, do things that make themselves less stressed.

However, I don't cut myself. Why? Cause I'm squeemish, I can't stand blood.

Instead, I resorted (past tense kiddos) to rubber bands. I had all of these scars on my arms.

Nah i never could or wanted to, but i can understand the fact that some people just aren't emotionally capeable of handling some things. If that's the case then they need to get help. Help is always around the corner, you just have to look for it.

I've always had thoughts about it when I was really depressed. But things always come over me and I go, "Why should I do this?"...then things kinda go back to how they always were, but I never get my problem solved....

And this rotation goes on and on...

Yes, I have cut before. But it's not just something people choose to do. It can be a sort of illness. It doesn't mean your insane. It's another way o dealing with problems. Cutter's are people who cut there wrist to relieve their problems. They believe that when they are angry or whatever feeling, their feeling that cutting will change it and instead of saying I'm angry and someone hurt my feelings, they can say, my arm hurts thats why I'm sad. I have to get serious help because I hurt myself to an extreme extent. I don't just cut..I cut and then rub salt, mouthwash, dis-infectant, windex and whatever else I can find to rub on my cuts, so yeah. DONT CUT! I'm not proud of what I do, or have done...So I'm, now going to tell people not to do that anymore..I will help people stop..just like people helped me... happy.gif

Isn't there a better and healthier way to relieve emotional pain? blink.gif When I am depressed, listening to death metal is a relieve for me. Well, I guess people have their own way of dealing with problems, which may include cutting.

yeah.. all of us cutters are lame little emo kids who cry to the thought of our own misery so we parade around all day slitting our wrists and crying in a corner curled up in the fetal position.

we're so pathetic

We all have our different ways of dealing with emotional pain... for some of us it isnt as easy as listening to music... I cant get rid of my emotional pain unless i cause some other pain, which is physical...

I've never cut myself - yet. I always want to, but I'm just gutless. I'm scared of the pain. But I have a lot of friends who do ut themselves and they say the pain is great. Who knows, I might actually do it one day...

Usually music helps me with my mood. Just like death metal helps you. But to some there are usually more than just one way to relieve themselves from depression or emotional pain. To some they project their emotional pain into physical pain upon themselves as a defense mechanism.
