I miss it. Where did it go? I demand that you recreate it. Whoever "you" are.

Hey you're right...
I found it an interesting to find news. Well. I guess I'll go read the announcements. Edit// It's being put somewhere else... Apparently reorganizing the subforums. |

I liked it too, but please read this post: http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...dpost&p=1895057
Current Events and Debate could have been merged somehow but it's too late. |

That was shortlived. I can understand the sports and cars forums going away, but I thought that was a really good idea.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. But there was interest! And so many more topics could fit into that category. Besides, debate is such a formal term, and I prefer discussion about current events. Why must we turn every current event into something controversial?

QUOTE(monde libre @ Feb 10 2006, 8:26 PM) Every current event wouldn't be debated upon; many of the ones already posted either have a lot of controversy or discussion surrounding it. It's already been said and done though.

Hmm since there's so much discussion, I'll move this to Feedback.

I agree with the bringing back of Current Events and Health.
This topic that was in the Lounge was made apparently at like, 1 AM, when no one was on. I personally don't think that having the discussion so late when most of us are sleeping and the same group of people is on is the best way to get community-wide feedback. |

Well, it is what it is now. *sighs* I did really like the current events section. It was so new and showed so much promise.
Perhaps if discussion relating to current events continues to blossom, a subforum will be recreated. |

I actually think that Current Events was a good forum to keep. Which forums do you think should be gotten rid of or keep. What do you think about how the lounge is with the CE threads back in it?

I can understand why they decided to remove some subforums, but really I think that decision was a little rash. The current events forum was new, and I honestly thought it was a great idea, since usually those threads get overlokked in the lounge, and at times it's hard for mods to decide whether they belong there or in debate. I think that particular subforum is hardly diving up the community or anything like that either, because it serves an actual distinct purpose.

Yep. the moderator made a newwww forum for us by popular demands. I think micron should provided more reasons for his actions.
Look at what micron's say: QUOTE please read:
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...dpost&p=1895069 *off to redo-ing forum descriptions. removed the current event announcement. what a shame, i didnt realize it was only a couple of weeks old. but i think current events is definitely something youd want to discuss in the lounge, not somewhere else. |
