i like rock band, or the beatles one. dj hero= awesome. I still like COD4 more than MW2. the story line is awesome, but the multiplayer is alright. i do recommend assassins creed 1 & 2, uncharted 1 & 2, little big planet, metal gear solid 4, but i'm not sure if you want to play 1, 2, and 3 jc. final fantasy 13 is coming out, if you like rpg games, get it.
fallout, dead space= scary. lol i got scared. and socom confrontation <3 i love that game! |

Little Big Planet: Its a giant work of art.
Battlefield 1942: I don't usually like war games, but this one is almost historically accurate. |

OP don't get MW2, it's one of the worst multiplayer shooters I've ever played. It's pretty much filled with twelve year olds screaming into microphones. thats what the mute button is for and PSN players aren't as obnoxious as xbox live or pc players, just my experience though |

Little big world! We have been borrowing a ps3 for 3 weeks now, and we play it like every day. We are borrowing the ps3 with like 20 games, but Little big world, is so much fun we haven't bothered doing anything else.
I can imagine OP liking it. |

^ That game is hilarious, but I'm not sure if it's JC's style.
JC, I think someone mentioned it already, but Uncharted 1 and 2 are fantastic. The second one is particularly awesome because it's seems more cinematic to me (if that's your thing - stories and such winding in and out of game play). Here's the official link, if you'd like to take a look: http://www.unchartedthegame.com/ Borderlands is also terrific. I'm awful at describing things though (and also, can't remember if it's been mentioned already). Link (because I'm lame): http://www.borderlandsthegame.com/ If you're building a collection, you should check out cheapassgamer.com. You have to register, but the community there is amazing at compiling deals from just about everywhere. |

^ i've heard great things about uncharted (both 1 + 2) from all types of gamers, so it leads me to believe it is a game that the general public will like, regardless of game type preference.
i generally agree with the games mentioned above, but then again, i have no real favorite ps3 game so i can't rave about anything. though, i am anticipating army of two part 2. i liked the demo so much that i went out and bought the original, which i didn't like as much. |

The first one is really awesome to play with a friend, but playing it alone, the AI makes it suck. The co-op made it really fun despite the shit story. But if you want co-op, get left 4 dead or l4d2. I know they aren't for ps3, but they're on 360 and PC, so there really isn't an excuse not to play it. |

^ lol yah, i rarely play alone. 2 siblings + bf = we always fight over turns -_-. but i think shooting games are always more fun with co-op anyway.
i'll probably pick up l4d when i get a suitable rig. i've been living off laptops and netbook ;o |

Now days an $800 laptop can handle games easily.
I remember a few years ago, I payed $1500 for a laptop with a 1.6 GHz Core 2 Duo and GMA 945. Now days that's a POS computer, but back then it was badass. Now that computer would go for about $300. The Atom netbooks are actually just as good (maybe even better, I don't know how the smaller die but smaller cache really affect performance without actually looking at benchmarks) Of course then, the Core 2 Duo I got was like the i7 960 is now. Much faster than anything short of the extreme series and a few Xeons. Bitch had 4 gigs of RAM too, almost unheard of at the time. L4D is a fairly light game too. I've been thinking about picking up one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834220635 or this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834157045 Either one would fly through pretty much any game you can throw at it. |

From easiest to most difficult:
Little Big Planet Uncharted Series Metal Gear Solid 4 GTA4 Fallout 3 Motorstorm Bioshock Dead Space Resistance 1 & 2 God of War Collection Demon's Souls Other people will recommend: Modern Warfare 2 - it's an alright single player, but the community of jackasses ruin this game. Nothing revolutionary. Assasin's Creed 2 - it's alright, but GTA3 set the bar really high for open world games. Killzone 2 - I really didn't care for this game. Batman - never played it |

i have a lot to try. maybe i'll like these more than i think. most of them don't look interesting to me...i don't know why. for some reason i don't feel interested in playing any stories or shooting people. that seems to be what most people's favorite games are.

i don't know if i don't want a story. i'm gonna have to try more out to see about it because maybe i just don't have enough experience with them to fully grasp it. i mean if it's between shooting people and shooting basketballs, i'd rather do the second. i think it's becasue just reading about some of the games, the story doesn't seem to appeal to my interests. if i pick up a sports game it looks fun because i like sports, so i already know i'm interested. when i look at other games who's point is to be a story, it seems hard to gauge if i'll like it because i can't base it off my interests. maybe this is just part of it though, and so you just have to get the game and try it. where as i'm used to picking out a game that looks like something i'd like.
duno if that made sense. |

Did you just say that your $3000 PC is now a POS? It was $2200, and that was a year ago, not five. I said my five year old laptop is now a POS. On the subject, I've been thinking of upgrading. I'm thinking Xeon X3440, 5850, and 4 GB RAM. And I'll OC the f*ck out of the Xeon. |
