Similar to this. With the buttons and everything. It's blowing my mind. I want to be able to put the pictures in it through code, if that makes sense. Do I use flash for something like this? Javascript? I'm clueless

I'm too tired to really give a full explanation, but basically, you should use a Javascript library known as jQuery. So yes, you should be somewhat familiar with Javascript. Here's a neat slider that seems to be what you want. Just read through it, learn it, download it, and use it. Hoorah.
