I've done a simple RSS viewer with AS3, which to avoid sandbox security problems points into a .php file that directs the viewer to the feed. The flash component works perfectly when executed from the server, but when I try to embed it in MySpace I only see the borders of the flash file, and not the content.

I did the crossdomain.xml trick according to this website http://socialuxe.com/2006/07/myspace-dev-5...eeds-via-flash/ but it didn't help.

Here's the code embedded to the myspace site

<div class="blog">
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" height="120" width="451">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" />
<param name="allowNetworking" value="internal" />
<param name="movie" value="http://www.wicked-recordings.com/images/timo_myspace/blog.swf?rssFeed=http://www.wicked-recordings.com/images/timo_myspace/proxy.php" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" src="http://www.wicked-recordings.com/images/timo_myspace/blog.swf?rssFeed=http://www.wicked-recordings.com/images/timo_myspace/proxy.php" height="120" width="451" wmode="transparent" quality="high" />

I tried to add rssFeed="http://www.wicked-recordings.com/images/timo_myspace/blog.swf?rssFeed=proxy.php" after src="" but myspace drops it off as it does to to the full url of rssFeed=proxy.php. Furthemore, i tried rssFeed with the 'real' rss link, but didn't work that way either.

If you have any idea on how this should be done nowadays, any help or pointing towards right direction would be very much appreciated. I know it's still possible, as many profiles still use it.
Reason for edit: Use a codebox next time for your codes. Why? Because it saves up same space. -Beenly
