Windows XP Service Pack 2 Beta
On February 24, 2004, Microsoft issued the second major beta release of the newly revised Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). This build includes some new features, including the Security Center dashboard, which monitors the overall security of your system. Here are some screenshots from the new build. Here's some screenshot that I found on internet lately.


The new first boot screen.


Security Center.


SP2 build 2082 now works in Media Center Edition.


New IE pop-up blocking pane.


A Windows Firewall security alert dialog.


The new Turn off computer dialog.

Hey, I remembe I downloaded that before hahas... It slowed down my comp, idk why stubborn.gif Lucky you ahhas it speeded yours up! Haha i remember the firewall lol and the virus protection =P

no, just a service pack. it fixes the mistakes that microsoft tends to make, because they can't get it right the first time, then they take millions of years to fix it. longhorn is coming out in 2006 i think

Oh. Okay.
I was wondering what happened to longhorn.
My friend d/l the beta and he couldn't get XP back up.
He downgraded to 98.

tell him to give linux a try. i suggest one of the newbie friendly distro's like redhat or mandrake. or knoppix for a live eval.

2006?! I thought they are out this year. Microsoft sucks. KAKAk.
But again we use Microsoft. Well I might found some late Longhorn Screenshot. _smile.gif

Yeah. He has linux now.
I dunno what kind though.
