Both Rowling and Meyer, they're speaking directly to young people... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good.

THANK YOU.

Does she really? I never got the impression that she thinks she is great or anything. She seems pretty humble. But, compared to Rowling and King... ya, there is no competition.

Compared to anyone, she's a bad writer. I got sucked into it at first because it was entertaining. But when I reread some parts and read Eclipse, I realized that she has no sense of flow, tone, direction, dialogue, or anything that would fill her writing with substance.

Basically, she pulls everything out of her ass, puts hot people in it, and calls it a story. I've seen it before on fanfiction.net

And Stephen King is epic. Don't argue with him. He can shit on other authors as much as he wants because he's Stephen King.

Hes like the f*cking chuck norris of books. except instead of a roundhouse kick to the face you get a book and some disses about your shitty writing thrown at your face.

There's a few interviews where she comes out as so full of herself.

The books are entertaining but she is no way a great writer. I like how she randomly puts in "big" words. LOL.

And italics! Or I think so. I only read her quotes from a book, but some words were italicized and I hope they were her doing. Because it's insulting to pretend your readers are retards and cannot figure out for themselves when a particular word in a sentence is important to the story.

I only approve of italics used regular in a story is if it's in first person and the italics are used to convey the tone of how the person talks/thinks.

Okay, those are pretty bad but Breaking Dawn was awful. Eclipse barely had a plot. Breaking Dawn was just... @*!#$

1) Of course her daughter is freakin' hawt. And apparently, she has accelerated growth but MAGICALLY stops aging at a HAWT age for Jacob to get with.
2)So apparently, she got pregnant because she melted Edward's junk.

How can she crap that shit out and make millions??? And people go crazy over it?!?!

yeah i've always said this is like my number one annoyance at her writing. that she writes on a 4th grade reading level and randomly puts in big words for no apparent reason. it's not as if they are needed to get the point across. it's like she wrote it and then went and found a bigger fancier synonym in her thesarus for a word just to sound smart, when it actually doesn't. it sounds awkward and pointless in the context of her wittle teenage vampire cheese romance.

Stephanie Meyer is wildly popular only because she writes at a 4th grade reading level, making it virtually possible for any and every ange group to read it, even those who don't enjoy reading. Oh, and because vampires make girls horny.

There's a difference between a very good writer and a decent story teller.

People describe Kurt Vonnegut as a very good writer. In no way can those words apply to Stephenie Meyer.

/twilight hate (I can't believe I bought the first 3 books)

I never really enjoyed the Harry Potter books.

So without jumping down my throat, can someone explain how she's such a good writer? I'm truly curious.
