So, I want to be a bit taller. I'm like 5' 6" right now, and I think being taller will help me gain more confidence. All my guy friends are at least 6' and it's kind of intimidating for me. Heck, my relative that was like 1' shorter than me grew this whole year and he's now like 6' 4".

I heard losing weight and getting more calcium will help. What do you guys do?

Let puberty run its course. You're only, what, 15? 16? You have at least another four to five years to grow. I don't know where you're getting your information, but losing weight will not help you grow taller; it can just help you look it because you'll appear slimmer.

you can't do anything. you can eat healthy and all that shit (i guess) but in the end that isn't going to get you anywhere if your genes don't have it in them. i don't think i'm tall cause i drank milk, i think i'm tall cause the men in my family are tall. i think you just gotta wait and see what happens as you get older.

i think being skinnier can give you the look of being taller though.

You're still young, you'll probably keep growing. My bothers were pretty short until about their Sophomore or Junior years of high school, now one is 6'3 and the other is about 6'.

Get over yourself. I'm 5'3 and I'm fine with it. Thankfully I'm finally starting to grow faster though. :3 The downside is my joints are freaking killing me from the growing pains.

Also, you could always get some hgh pills. And there is a surgery that can give you a few inches where they add more to your shins.

I was like 5'0" in 7th grade (pretty short for a 7th grader, I guess). Now I'm in 10th grade and I'm 5'8" (well, to be honest, I'm not sure about that because it's kind of nearer to 5'9" but not quite. Let's say I'm just 5'8.5"). Now, I don't know if that has any significance, but it's kind of nice to see how much I've grown since I was younger and that now I'm taller than my brother, mother, and almost near my father's height (who is 5'10"). But you never know, I could grow to be beyond 6' or so, and so could you. I guess just keeping fit (not weight-wise, like exercise-wise), being healthy, and sleeping right(?) could help. Honestly, though, I don't think it should matter if you're short or tall; it doesn't really have much to do with how you want to behave and act or what you want to do or who you're friends are or how you live your life or above all, your personality.

And hey, sometimes, big things come in small packages. No homo.

lol, and this is coming from someone who started puberty even more recently than Beenly probably did. You will both shoot up in height over the next few years, so don't worry too much. I was about 5'4" when I was 12, hit 5'8" when I was around 17, and haven't grown since then (thank goodness).

I really don't think you should mess around with your body's development with medication. Wait until you're at least 18/have hit your height ceiling and decide what to do then; it would suck if you screwed yourself over for life just because you were so desperate to grow a few inches taller. :\

Whoa. o_o I don't know how I'd find jeans/other bottoms to fit me without having to look really hard/get them tailored if I were even 6'. I know there are a lot of stores that sell clothes just for really tall people, but 5'8" is just the right height for me. Also, I'd have an even worse time finding nice shoes to wear if I were a size 10+.

Nah, tall guys ftw. I know a guy who is about 6'10"-6'11".

I would f*cking kill for just 3 more inches, but no I am going to be mistaken for a 16 year old for the rest of my life.
