Did you ever notice in the Olympics..when the USA loses, that they don't mention a thing, they just continue like nothing happend. But when they win, it's like New Years party with P. Diddy stubborn.gif

It makes us look like we're full of ourselves.

Yup. I have noticed that alot.
Also off subject, Have you ever noticed that when Madden is a commentator for a packers game and Farve does something wrong, he doesn't say anything. But when Farve does something good like a completed pass, Madden busts out a whole essay on how Farve is soo great. Boo Packers! _dry.gif What can I say, sports commentators are baised. stubborn.gif

I think the funniest thing was at the 10,000 meter and the US guy gave up. And the reporter asked what happened...all he could do is this funny shrug. "I duno..."

Pwhaha.

yeah, i know what you mean. they always show the medal ceremony when the us wins, but if the us doesn't get a medal, the medal ceremony usually isn't shown. bleh- i'm kinda tired of hearing the national anthem all the time now

cuz the US is the good guys, NBC is broadcasting the good guys, the other ppl are the bad guys and whats the point of seeing the bad guys succeed. im sure its the same in the other countries like china, they only show the medal ceremonies of them winning and not show the US part

exactly.

anyway, why would usa want to see another country's ceremony if we've got nothin to do with it.

and i don't think they're full of themselves, i mean they have the right to celebrate that they won a medal don't they? and its not like they're happy when they lose. thats why they don't mention it.

I actually hate NBC's broadcasting. They won't shut the fck up. And *I* would want to see another country's ceremony. I hate the time difference(I'm well aware you can't do anything about that), and how they act as if you can't go online and check for yourself who won which sporting event.

Pshh other countrys do that too. I get the Chinese channel and they show Olympics on it they only show their victorious(sp?) ceremonies. Each country is proud so they show theyre vicotry so might as well say all the countrys are full of themselves.

US media's biased towards the US.
So naturally, they'd show US winning and not show them losing.

if they were full of themselves, i'd totally understand. modesty is nice and all but sometimes u just have to enjoy the moment. and those guys worked their asses off, so id definetly give them all bragging rights. but anyway, i dont think theres a problem with the coverage. why would we focus on our losses?

well its a good thing there full of themselves even tho i dont think that because then if they werent, they would be all worried and never win anything.

being full of yourself is the american way.

i know if i won a medal. i be out there showing off and stuff. if i lost i would have been like.. eh. there is a next time.
