I personally think this is really good compared to the last one. Tell me what you think.

Eh.. it's not bad, but it can definitely be improved. I'm not really feelin' your setup here, with the blocky squares and everything and then some slapped-on organic shapes. Also, the blending could be better (kind of looks like you got lazy around some edges) and that supersaturation doesn't work that well in this layout. Additionally, the colors of the graphic and of the layout really clash and make a horrible transition. I also don't know why you have empty squares behind the graphic. The brushes are alright, I suppose (a tad low quality, though [which goes for the picture, too]).

eh, i think you should take a BREAK from blending. try other things out. the different coloring on the blending is a major red light for me, because it basically looks too amateur. the flowers could also have been a more higher quality. and here's my 2 cents on helping you. layouts don't always have to be blending, you know? seems like every layout i see from you it has some sort of blend. but did you know you could also achieve effects similar to this with just one image? plus, it's much less demanding to do.
here are some layout header tutorials i totally recommend, and i sometimes use these myself. Credit goes to Outspoken-Kate, and the link also leads you to more layout techniques. We would love to see what you come up with next. :) |
