Rowling The Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey MARS (manga... can't remember the author) Love Hina (manga... can't remember the author) Ai Yori Aoshi (manga... can't remember the author) Ella Enchanted (it was my favorite book in elementry school and also a good movie) Daughters of the Moon series by Lynne Ewing Sweep series by Cate Tiernan Young Wizards series by Diane Duane Anything that involves magic, magick, dragons, faeries, wizards... Harry Potter, of course.
Charlie Bone. So what if it's just like Harry Potter. Abarat. <<<Best darn series ever. A Series of Unfortunate Events. WAAAAY better than the movie. And er...I don't have anymore series, just regular old books. Yes yes, I suck. I also want to eat your face. Now leave me alone. |

Oh, and also um.. the Blair Witch Files series. It's kind of stupid, but it's sort of supernaturalish, I suppose.

This book isn't part of a series but I would recommend it to you because it's really good.
It's called The Secret of Platform 13. I don't remember the author though. The manga series MARS is great, isn't it. My sister has all the books in the series and I have one volume of Ai Yori Aoshi in DVD. |

Not like you're perfect either. Good job on proving that too. Don't double post. It's against the rules. |

Hello there. Group: Member Posts: 343 Joined: Jan 2005 Member No: 78,879 |
Alot of those books are either manga or fictional dealing with supernatural themes. So I would say check out Blue is For Nightmares by Laurie Faria Stolarz. It's a little dry during the first chapter or two, but give it a chance. Things get interesting after the 4th or 5th chapter.
Summary: It started with weird e-mails and freaky phone calls. Now someone's leaving Drea white lilies-the same death lilies that have been showing up in Stacy's dreams. Everybody thinks it's just a twisted game . . . until another girl at school is brutally murdered. There are no witnesses. Worst of all, no one has a perfect alibi. With everyone as a potential suspect, Stacy turns to the one secret weapon she can trust-the folk magic taught to her by her grandmother. Will Stacy's magic be strong enough to expose the true killer, or will the killer make her darkest nightmares come true? It's the first book of the series she has going... the second one's call white is for magic, which was my favorite. I'm not really into these types of books, but I loved this one. I'm currently waiting for the third one to come out. The summary's a little corny but it's a really good book. |

Azarel= Never said I was perfect... I know I'm not. I just hate having to repeat myself... I only double posted because I don't know how to get more than one quote in the same reply...
TreesTurnMeOn= If it's exactly like Harry Potter I'll probably like it. I'll check it out. Thanks. (series of unfortunate) Until about a week before the movie came out the only person I knew who read the series said it was bad but now I keep hearing it's good... I tried reading arabat but it just didn't hold my interest. winsome= what is the wheel of time series about? I loved the LOTR movies but I just couldn't get into the books the last time I tried to read them... maybe it's time to try again. a smile is power= eragon is another one of those the just didn't hold my interest... pity to... it sounded good... shortiiex= is that the same as daughters of the moon but with guys... or is it about the... I forget what their called... the bad teenager guys... 1--girl= I was forced to read S.E. Hinton in middle school and since then I've lost my taste for him/ her/whatever... plus it's not fantasy ahhishkaren= i'll try it... Does anybody know if the Da Vinci Code was any good? I've ben trying to check it out but at my library there's a hold list on every copy and the next town over the only one available was in Spanish and I don't know Spanish that well... |

Click the + link on the top right of the post. Check out Angels&Demons before reading the Da Vinci Code. Sequel, thus far. ;x |
