today, i came to this realization about this club i'm in. one of my best friends helped create this club, and now this is the problem:

Our club is called Animals Action Asia, and at first, our mission was to promote the awareness for stray animals in taipei. what we wanted to do at first was to help show the people in taipei what it takes to own a dog, that they need committment, and that adopting dogs may be even better than buying a dog.

in taipei, or taiwan in general, their animal shelters are usually very poorly funded and they have to put the animals there to sleep after 7 days. we're trying to promote this situation as well.

however, even though we have a lot of really good ideas on what to do and everything, we're not getting anything done. and this is what gets me really frustrated. my friend believes that everything has to go through her first and that she's in charge of everything since she was the creator of the club. also, she believes that if she's not there for a meeting, there shouldnt be a meeting at all. she has the dream, but not the motivation to get things done.

for example, we had a powerpoint for promoting awareness at the beginning of the semester, and we havent presented it to anyone yet, because all she keeps saying is, "ok, we'll do it later."

i personally believe that it's time to confront her with this problem, that she's not doing anything and she lives in a little imaginary world because she has dreams that are too idealistic, too perfect. recently, she's gotten very short-tempered. and because everyone in this club are really good friends, confronting her with this would make her very mad and split all of us apart.

i'm sorry this is really long, but does anyone have any ideas that could help us bring this up to her without hurting our friendship?

i think that the girl NEEDS TO GET PUT IN CHECK ..you don`t have to make it mean or anything, but you definitely should tell her the problem. Just approach her, not in front of everybody and tell her the deal. She`ll appreciate that you at least pulled her aside.

if shes not willing to do it, then you do it. you can hand out flyers about it, posters, and ask your teachers for help... dont wait for her to decide everything; you are part of this club too, and even though shes the founder, she cant follow through on what shes says shes going to do. so just do what ever you feel is right to help the abandoned dogs.

There really is no way to tell her the truth and her not get mad at you. However, it's not good....to just let her walk all over you and your friends and for her to think that the club along with you and your friends revolve around her. Confront her about it...tell her that the club isn't about her...it's about the animals and that she needs to get her act straight...You need to be honest and blunt with her....

just tell her that nothing is perfect and its time to take some action rather then stand around and do nothing..if she doesnt want to quit the club and make ur own..
