Dexter. Everyone loves it and it sounds like something I would like, I just can't seem to watch it.

I still can't get into Dexter.

Have you tried watching it all at once? Dexter is best watched as a marathon.

this is a tad off topic, but the first episode of Skins (US) 2.6 mil watched it, by the second episode only 1.6mil watched it, and some sponsors dropped out of that causing mtv to lose 2mil dollars

talk about a show that people cant watch :p

Didn't sponsors drop out because of the 'racy' content?

^ I think so. I know when I first googeld US Skins some of the first videos were reports on how it was basically "porn" and blah blah blah.

... moreso pornish than the UK version? I can't imagine it being any more racy than Skins UK seeing as how they censor words and such.

If it's pretty much like the original, then the sponsors are stupid for sponsoring it in the first place. it's not like the racy nature of Skins was anything new, what with it having been done before and all.

I've watched the first three episodes... it's not even half as 'pornish' as the UK one. I remember reading a few articles about how parents and sponsors were shocked by the naked butts and all the talk about sex and masturbation. Sigh.

For some of the Us (parents, viewers) its like "omg racey!" but I dont think a lot of people here know that in the UK its not as censored, so im assuming the sponsors didn't want to get a bad rep?

I don't think a lot of people know of the UK version.

There were a lot of suppressed mothers of America just f*cking waiting to be able to jump down MTVs throat again though. I imagine them saying "its go time" then ninja flipping out their front door.

I don't watch Skins at all, but don't y'all hate how US shows are so much more conservative than UK shows? I dunno if you've ever seen The Inbetweeners (a SWEET-ASS show), but that shit is seriously "racy". There is literally an episode that talks about (and shows) a character's left testicle.

I just don't think there's a reason to sugarcoat the TV shows especially if teens do that shit in real life.
