I'm going about creating my own skin for my xanga. I've never done it before but I'm going through tutorials and whatnot and learning the long way. The thing is with me, even though I have very little experience in xanga building (my most is taking someone's simple skin and modifying it to my own tastes), I usually go all the way. My idea is to create different pages for the things in a xanga, and yes some already have their own ie: guestbook, separate profile, email, etc. But I'm looking for a way to create a main page menu using image mapping (i've already started on that) but I would like to remove my profile from the main blogging spot and similiar things. Hopefully you get the idea (if you don't please PM me). I've seen this all done before unfortunately I can't find their page anymore. So I would like someone's help if possible, PM me or email me. I've got a really cool idea I want to make happen!

CODE <!-- begin code provided by createblog.com --> <style type="text/css"> /* width of the comment page */ {width:245px;} .leftmoduletitlebar, .leftmoduleborder, .leftmoduleinterior, table.left, table.left TH, table.left TD, table.navigation, table.footer {display: none;} </style> <!-- end code provided by createblog.com --> It removes all modules and the top and bottom links..... lol u can do different styles for some pages because people are placing there CSS into there website stats. and if u look at the website stats, it excludes anything in ur website stats..that's why the ad remover doesn't work on that page....

Thanks so much!
c.lime.jello's reply helped most...thats pretty much exactly what I'm looking for! The drop-down menu is a good idea...I didn't think of it! A little more detail on my idea: I have my main page that I want to have first, and its a menu page with image mapping and I have to figure out how to put that first, like a splash page but without the whole "click on the pic to enter" thing. My main background for all my pages also has a menu built into it using image mapping...do you have the code to make that work c.lime.jello? I guess I could just study the codes you have on your site...don't worry I won't steal anything. Anyways, thanks for all your help so far! ~Angela |

I don't have anything like that.
(I think you're trying to make your Xanger look more like a webpage.....) Feel free to steal any codes you like tho. ^_^u All codes end up being stolen at sometime or another..... |

QUOTE(C.Lime.Jello. @ Sep 6 2004, 9:51 AM) (I think you're trying to make your Xanger look more like a webpage.....) This is true... I would make a separate webpage but I like a lot of the functions xanga has and that I can read other journals and have others read mine. thanks for the permission <3 |

I gave all my friends permission to steal.
As long as you don't copy the EXACT layout, I'm fine. |
