Do what you like, or something you don't really like but has a better return?

Hi guys! I was just wondering, based on personal opinions, do you agree with the advice people usually give you that you should study what you are passionate about in post-secondary as opposed to something that you don't really like, but will give you a better economic return in the end? Especially with the economic turmoil going on in North America, would it worth the risk to give up a good program in say, business for something you find more interest in like humanities which is less likely to get you a job?
