Something I've heard of doing is...
You buy your sweetheart a dozen roses, remove one and replace it with a fake rose. Then when you give it to them, say "I'll love you till the last rose dies." Its always brings a tear cry.gif

Buy a beef heart from the supermarket and put it next to her when she's sleeping. She'll wake up to a romantic surprise.

Protip: spray with 409 beforehand to reduce E. coli congregations.

^LOLnasty. i'm vegetarian so i might see that little differently than others? but at the same time, it's hilarious.

i don't want to wake up next to part of a dead animal!

but anyway, ... idk, if i was really feeling the let's do something fancy vibe, we'd get dinner somewhere nice and go to a symphony concert or find some solo artist who's performing somewhere. then off to coffeehouse with monopoly or something.

I would never be in a relationship, but as you can see, if I were ever in some horrible alternate universe, I'd be pretty good at being romantic.

When I'm eating meat (I go back and forth due to stomach issues), I would find that terribly romantic.

Then again, I'm a weirdo (I guess).

Ewwwwww.I think even if I ate meat, I would find that disgusting.

As for the original question of the topic, I'm not creative at all.
So, if I were in a relationship on Valentine's Day, I'd just give 'em some candy hearts and leave it at that. :]

*Ahem does the culinary authority voice*

As a chef,I would not advice that seeing as regardless of how much 409 you put on there the meat will enter the "danger zone" and rot on you.

You could cook it though.

If you're willing to spend and clean up the mess. If you know your girlfriends favorite flower, buy a bunch and spell out Happy Valentine's Day or I love you ___ or some other message with them and put candles around them! (I think Seon Ho did this or someone...) Blindfold her and lead her into the room. Oh, and include a nice homemade dinner. _smile.gif That would make me smile...but hey. I'm just a messenger.

Pretend to commit suicide, and after she does the same because she can't bear the thought of living without you, jump up and exclaim "Just kidding!" Great practical joke, and pretty romantic, in my eyes.

At dinner, if you don't like the stuffing or the cranberry sauce or anything else, just pretend like you're eating it, but instead, put it all in your lap and form it into a big mushy ball. Later, when you and her go out for a walk, let out a big fake cough and throw the ball to the ground. Then pretend like you're trying to make it seem like you haven't noticed anything. It'll make you seem mysterious.

Something homemade or hand crafted.

I love getting hand made cards from my boyfriend, their so complex and nifty.

I usually do the same thing over and over for my boyfriend, a box full of his favorite candy and a stuffed animal, a note/card, and anything else I may want to randomly throw in there.

I saw on this nature show once how the male elk douses himself with urine to smell sweeter to the opposite sex. What a coincidence!

Maybe a cd of her favorite songs or both of your favorite songs. Or a cd of what you two both feel for each other. shrug.gif

lol maybe, I'm in a long distance relationship so we have to send packages to each other. I usually give my boyfriend a piece of art work that I like as well. Frame it up nicely and put in the box safely and put candy and stuffed animals around it. I don't know, its always something different.

My boyfriend though has usually always made me cards.

Pictures:

It was designed as a little suitcase, it had little brackets that kept the card together, little handles, and a little tag that had my name on it that declared that the bag was mine XD Also in the little pocket things in the inside there were secret little love notes in it.

I'm participating in a state-wide intercollegiate honor band on Valentine's Day. If that doesn't directly translate to, "Music is more important to me than romance," I don't know what does.
