My first ever blend, Mariah Carey :] Opinions? Options

So this is my first blend. After looking at the array of talent in the Showcase Booth I thought I'd try my luck at something.

If anyone thinks it's any good I'll submit it

It looks nice. The only problem is the middle right part. I think the 2 or 3 images right there, are kind of odd looking together with the opacity. Probably because the images are too clustered. Another thing that annoys me is the images in the middle right, they have her head got cut off due to the image but, it should've been at least feathered around or put it up higher.

Overall, it's good for you're first.

I know it's just basically a "blend" but it would nice to see textures, brushes, etc add on to it.

Oh, I just looked at it about a couple times, and I noticed. It's like sort of a blend? You just lowered the opacities. o.O What about feathering?

maybe more color. or just more saturation.

and i agree with the other people, the one middle picture kinda doesnt fit in.

but, very nice effort. WAAYY better than my first one. lol. :)

It's not bad at all for a first try. All the images are high quality, and where you blended them is pretty decent. All that bugs me is the low opacity for all of the images. But, good.

Like others have said, it doesn't look bad, and that's the first big step - if you can do that, the hardest part is over with. Now all you need to do is tweak out the imperfections and add some enhancements (as mentioned, textures, patterns, etc).

With a blend, I know it's something you overlooked (I'm referring to the top line on the middle picture), but try to get rid of any lines so the entire image is seamless. It's good that you didn't overdo feathering - a LOT of people tend to do that when they're starting out, and then it just looks like these big clouds surrounding the pictures (not attractive at all).

Keep working at it, it looks good so far.

One more thing, I'm not sure about the text.. it just looks out of place. Maybe take out one copy and keep the one that's half-transparent, only move it down to the other position?

The part where the third and fourth picture blend together looks weird cause her arm makes it look like she has a black eye.

the drop shadow texts are so far away from each other.
and the images are so light...they only look like 50% opacity.

but it's actually very good for your first blend.

Did you actually blend anything together, or did you just change the opacities? It looks to me like all of the lines of all of the pictures are still intact, so you didn't treat them to blend with each other at all.

I really like it. I like the colors except that all the images are of low opacity.
