i thought it was pretty good, wasnt as good as i thought it would be. but beautifully done.

i find it kinda funny that in the end king leonidis(sp?) body position was like the body position of Jesus Christ.

IMO it seemed pridictable that the policition guy would betray her.

the scene with the oracle was magnificent. the fluidity of her movements was stunning (besides the fact that her boob would pop out sometimes. lol)

^please don't spoil for other people who haven't seen it.

i'm on the border about this film. there is sooo much hype and people seemed to have known about it for awhile. i've only heard about it recently.

also, it's a very skewed presentation on history. i watched a documentary on the actual 300 (i know...lame) and i saw some reviews. apparently, some persians are extremely upset by the way the persian side was depicted as blood thristy barbarians.

but, i heard the funniest thing from a conversation i overheard:
"... I thought the 3 was a 'z'...so for the longest time I thought the movie was called Zoo"

I knew the movie was called 300, but that little splatters make it look like 309. It bugs me.

For some reason, I find this a clash with fantasy. I mean, I saw a few previews and I was wondering why there were things like Trolls and creatures in the movie. whistling.gif But I can't really say anything, I haven't seen it. It's not something that I think I'll watch.

its based off frank millers graphic novel, not fact. its not supposed to be historically accurate so get that straight. it has monsters in it for god's sake( well not really monsters morelike misshapen inbread men). i saw it on saturday, first of all the battle scenes were bad ass, very stylized, its supossed to be exaggerated and some people dont seem to understand that, some people dont care lol. i hate it when people expect it to be like troy or something.

i was worried that the movie would be strange or awkward, but it wasnt at all. the creatures were blended in pretty seemlessly. the story was told pretty well, i liked the guy narrating it also. it definately was exciting to see and a mesmerizing experience all together. i really think ya'll should check it out. stop being so skeptical and see a flick.

its one of those movies that are meant to be seen twice, it wont get an acedemy award or anything (not that type of flick) but it does fall into the "sick" category.

I movie was bad ass. I loved it. The theme was awesome and the cinematography and fight scenes were crazy. I especially loved the beginning with the oracle and the hot spartan queen. YAYER! lol. The movie couldnt have came out at a better time. We saw it the day it opened and it gave us a real nice break from studying for finals.

and yes the movie isn't historically accurate, but its one of those things that you wish it could be. You ask yourself "what if people acted that way?" Having respect, honor, pride, dignity, chivalry, bravery, etc. I also watched the history channel the other day and they talked about how some of the greek philosophies carries on today like government and democracy.

Its a great movie and I'd love to see it again.

i watched it last night (finally) it was alright i thought. i honestly expected more. haha some of the stuff looked fake. and, haha when me and my friends snuck in the first thing we saw was the sex scene the beginning so we were like wtf. hah i didnt expect nudity in it. i sort of laughed at some of the parts, i do that alot in gory/bloody movies. the fighting scenes were actually really good.

yea i expected more, since it was dashed with a little bit of fantasy with all those creatures .

Sorry I have to disagree. Cinematography is great, but overall I felt like it was an ordinary film if it didn't have that effect. Most the fight scenes were on level of what a fight scene should be these days, but nothing over the top.

I HATED THE MOVIE!
mainly because the movie stopped like 6 times.
when it was getting towards the end, the stopped the movie completely and refunded our money.
=[ I never got to finish it and I'm dying to know what happens...

Finally saw it! I'm glad I wasn't disappointed. I realize that a buttload of people are rather upset at the historical inaccuracies, but.. there weren't that many. shrug.gif I mean, obviously there're going to be some exaggerations if it's based on a graphic novel. I loved how true it was to the graphic novel, too.

^Well, the movie isn't meant to be historical accurate, so I wonder why people actually get upset from it.

I just watched 300. Well, it takes me quite a while to actually understand the script. However, I want to point out that the special effects are amazing, but I wish they could make the blood splatter more...realistic.

I just got back from watching for the third time in three days (including the .avi version of it on my computer)--twice in theatres, once at home. It is STILL hella bomb.

I just saw it yesterday and I really liked the very very beginning especially the wolf part. The porno scenes grossed me out and it was REALLY awkward pinch.gif I thought the slowmotion was really cool and it made the movie less bloody to me

I loved it. I think Frank Miller is amazing and I love how they're able to actually capture the graphic novel in the movie so well! Great cinematography and I am in love with the soundtrack.
