apparently, according to my dad..i can do drugs and drink. but, if i get hooked on it, he wont help me.

how does this make sense? i have no idea. haha. but, im a really good girl. i dont do anything "bad" and ive certainly never drank or smoked anything.

but, im not allowed to go out anywhere either. ANYWHERE. friends houses, birthday parties, movies..anything.
i sneak out, though because he works from 10AM-10PM. ive never gotten caught. haah.

Yeah my mom doesn't want me to post personal info on the net and/or pictures.

I do anyway.. I know there's nothing dangerous unless you give out your address to some phony.

Otherwise I'm allowed to do pretty much everything. They treat me like an adult.

I'm not allowed to go out unless my friend Julie [Julietary] is there. Or some other one that my parents know. (Which by the way, are very few..)
I can't talk to guys unless it's homework...
No dating untill I'm out of high school.

I guess I follow all except for one? rolleyes.gif

My parents trust me. But that's because if I go somewhere and I don't ask, if I leave a note, it's mostly okay. But I usually ask and if I don't it's somewhere close like the general store.

jesus christ girl. i would die.... i argue with my parents a lot to get my privleges though. i got out every night on the weekend too... and sometimes during the week day too.

It's not really so bad. I was allowed to in early elementary school and they just stopped letting me go to parties around 3rd or 4th grade... rolleyes.gif

RUTH! i wanna hear more so interesting. I wish I could stay out till 12 =/ my parents dont like me driving at night...they think something bad is going to happen

Haha, it's kind of the opposite for me. My parents don't like driving and I've got a permit so I just drive them places and stare at walls/do homework until it's time to go. There's not much else I can think of, though.

Uhm actually at one point in time my parents actually wanted me to get out of the house and do something then stay home, but I didn't have anything to do so it never really happend.
my parents are the same way, well my dad anyway. he'll say "don't you have something better to do than stay home?" then again, my parents aren't really "average" parents i guess because they don't care about drinking and my brother never really got in trouble when he tested positive for weed, but i dont do anything outside of drinking. they're really good about letting us do whatever we want and dont care about most things. it's not like we all stay out til 3 in the morning though and have 12 kids. we know right from wrong and they know that.

Um...well, my parents are pretty cool. Basically, I'm not allowed to date until I'm in high school, which I'm cool with I really don't see the point of dating anyone in middle school...

And uh...Well, I can't stay out tootoo late, but I'm usually just with my two best friends and we just go to the movies or out to eat so there's nothing really to worry about.

And my parents trust me, too, so they know I wont do anything bad, so they're not like constantly enforcing rules or anything. It's nice.

My dad is pretty lenient towards most things, I'm in a LDR and he lets him come down to our house and stay and I get to go up to his moms house and stay up there. When it comes to school and stuff he expects me to get A's though, and kind of looks down on me when I get something less pinch.gif

Well im not aloud to go out, they think im gunna do something bad lol or drugs and im a seinor now... it really sucks but when i do go out I GO OUT.

Ditto.. I can't go with a date or even go to to movies with my friends because they think I'm going to meet some guy. =P I'm a junior and my sister is a senior, too and we are treated as if we are going to do drugs. Throw me freakin bone here! pinch.gif lol Maybe it's asian parents that restrict us from our freedom because of their traditions or their life styles from back home. Hello?! America is a different atmosphere than the Philippines. (yea I'm filipino).
Oh yea I (basically) I can't do anything. Maybe that's why my parents and me don't get along because of their lack of trust with my sister and me.

I can't do that either but I did it anyways. All because of CNN, they found out about myspace. Ugh, eventually found mine though my "history", stupid me forgot to delete the history. All because a girl trusted a guy online and decided to give all her info to him.... stupid CNNpinch.gif _dry.gif

I really don't know about their whole "dating" thing.. I doubt they'd let me date until like.. college, because they'd be like "WHY ARE YOU OUT WITH HIM?! GET BACK TO STUDYING!" and junk like that. Umm, I don't go out a lot, at all.. maybe like one party every month or so at the max. I'm never allowed to just go out and take a walk, or hang out with my friends unless it's over a long weekend ("interference with the learning process"), and I'm never ever ever allowed to take the metro or any sort of bus by myself.

All in all, I guess my parents aren't really overprotective. I'm okay with it, compared to what some of my friends have to endure.

They let me do anything as long as it's not illegal. They even let me drink with moderation, and they trust me that if I get drunk, I'll come home safe, and I'll only do it in special occasions. Also, they don't let me stay out till 1:30 AM...yea...

My parents are either very trusting or just stupid.

I've been able to:
Sleep over a friend or two's house
Go out and stay out 'til 1 or 2 or even 3AM--even if I was gone all day
Go out of town 50-100 miles away

And all the while having the opportunity to drink, smoke, do drugs, and have sex with friends and/or 'strangers'.
I've only done 2 or 3 out of those, so. I think they leave it up to me to decide what I can and cannot do, as long as they don't know about it. Oh, and all of this was by age 13. I'm 17 now.
