I really wish Kids would stop taking other people's work, especially since it get's the sites that they upload these things to into trouble. I am fairly certain Createblog doesn't want a lawsuit, so if you don't want Createblog to get a lawsuit either, Then PLEASE stop taking people's artistic Photographs, Mixed Media, and Graphic Art Works.
The items on Deviantart that are NOT under STOCK or RESOURCES are not for you to save! Anything found on Threadless/Naked&Angry are copywritten designs and you saving them and creating works out of them is ILLEGAL. I know alot of kids don't even give a rip, But they will when they get a Phone call from a Lawyer. If you don't have talent, Then give up. If you do have talent and don't know how to use it, then practice and get better. |

i tried to figure that one out. if the people here on cb were the same as the ones on devart. but, i decided that it's unlikely. considering the people who have the images on devart are fairly wellknown and respected on that site. and i honestly don't, no offense to createblog, think they would come over and submit their work here.

Of course, Createblog is a Community...Not an artist sancuary. This means we have little kids, naughty kids, untalented kids, stupid kids, creepy adults, and a large variety of people on Createblog..While the people on deviantart have talent, or..Think they have talent. :-/
Um, Deviant Art has an entire Stock Section so there's really no excuse to steal Art Labeled Photographs. Plagurism, Stealing, and alike are getting really popular especially online...And basically if everyone continued to stay or increase our behavior then...There's going to be no originality in the future and everyone can call themselves an Artist. |

and, i could never agree more about theft (especially art theft) running rampant online in the most insane way. i have actually had "conversations" with people who HONESTLY thought that...as long as something is online, it is up for grabs by anyone and everyone. and they were 12, 13, 14, ect. years old. so, i strongly believe that it is the younger "crowd" that has this problem. more so than people in their late teens and older. and while it is true that createblog is populated by mostly young (real YOUNG!) people, i think it should still be a site that strives to set an example. "layout" sites and other graphics/design websites are popping up everywhere, every second online. and createblog still remains to be one of the few that people remember. and use often. and use as inspiration. so, i think that buckling down on the whole copyright and stealing issue would REALLY prove to help the entire amateur design community in one way or another. as for the credit field suggestion. i still stand by it 100%. i'm arrogant enough to say that it is a good and much needed suggestion. even if people do have a single list they use each time they submit something, they will be giving credit and setting an example. and giving credit really shouldn't be seen as a bad thing. it's really NOT saying that you didn't have the creativity and ability to create something entirely on your own. it's simply saying that you were inspired by something. and inspiration should never be something that people refuse to acknowledge. afterall, this is a community dedicated to graphic design and layout design. innovation and design are things that are always made up of various sources, inspirations, and usually even artists. and i think adding a credit field would be a nice step towards sophistication and a little "growing up" here on createblog. |

I too am a Fan of Threadless & Naked&Angry...they are ran by the same people. I just think the layouts below should get removed, because, well...They are plainly using graphics from those Sites. :)
