Wow.

So you deleted all 69 pictures I took my time to submit.

Funny.

Looks like I was the only one accused of "stealing" deviantart.com's photos.

Except that half the pictures I just looked through, that were left that other people have submitted, are from deviantart.com or other sites I have looked through.

Funny, isn't it?

Right..

Bad move.

Shows how observant you all are.

Pfftt.

If you think a graphic here is jocked, you can report it to us.
We aren't able to search through every site to see if the graphic really belongs to the member or not.

Well, maybe the pictures that you saw that came from deviantart and other websites were actually taken by the people who submitted them themselves.

If over half the ones you've looked through are from other sites, they need to go as well. It's not just you. When you submit a graphic, just like submitting a layout, it HAS to be your own work. Since that wasn't just completely spelled out word for word in the rules, it will be soon. I just figured that people would automatically follow the same general guidelines as they would if they were submitting a layout.

If you're worried about taking the time to submit these photos, think about those who took their time to make them. How is it right for someone else to get credit for all that work? Honestly, uploading an image and tagging/titling it is not half the trouble.

I hope you understand why we did it, though. We can't be held responsible for showcasing images that the original authors don't even know about. Obviously we can't find every single one, so if someone else is getting away with it, we need to know. Just don't get upset with us for it, it's nothing against you personally. And for the record, you aren't the first person who's been accused of stealing. Others have had graphics removed as well.

You were not the only one considered of "stealing" DevArt pictures.

And, really, you technically did steal anyways. You can't rip something from DevArt and submit it here. It's just not cool, and, the stuff on DevArt is copyrighted, to a certain extent. If it's in SOMEONES GALLERY IT BELONGS TO THEM. And unless it's stock, that means it's not to be used anywhere else.

You know, you were easy to find out because I dont know of any other member who submitted almost 100 jocked photos. mellow.gif Maybe you didnt think you were jocking, I can understand that with there being no clear rules written out at the time but now you know and soon we will have rules to outline what is and is not acceptable. If we find out any other photos in question the same will be done as we did with you, please believe it. And you if want to help in the process you can always point out where these other photos in question are. Either that or don't bitch about it because like it has been noted we can't catch every single one but it helps if members are constantly telling us about submitted work in question.

What you (and anyone else) can take out of this is:
1. You are not allowed to submit another person's work...period.
2. If we find out it's not your own work, it will be deleted.
3. Doing it again after your first warning will result in either a raised warning level or suspension.

Any questions? Please pm any Design Staff, Head Staff, or Admin.

Thank you.

And with that said, I am closing this. If anyone feels the need to reopen, please feel free, but I do believe this issue has been addressed.
