Textarea problem, help

I'm having trouble with "textarea" boxes. I'm trying to put it on my xanga you kno wlike at a layout site you can copy and paste it.. yahh anyways as some of you know i use a mac osx computer so some things on xanga don't look the same to me.

anyways this is how the text area box is suppost to look:


but when i try it looks like this:


"mwant mwant mwant"(failed music)

can anyone help me fix this?

umm... what exactely is wrong with it?

is it the date and stuff or the black bg

with text areas you can't have codes like <br> in there because it won't seperate it .. what code do you use?

<textarea> </textarea>

i know. it gets SO ANNOYING with all the <br> s in there

it automaticly does that.
